Education

The 2022-2023 academic year continues with 88,848 students and 5,313 teachers in 107 pre-school schools, 206 primary schools, 140 secondary schools and 76 high schools throughout the province.

Throughout the province, the number of students per primary school, secondary school and secondary school/classroom is 16, 20 and 42, respectively. The number of students per primary school/teacher is 16, and the number of students per secondary school/teacher is 25.

Aksaray Province Information for Education

Aksaray University Faculty of Medicine was established with the publication of the Council of Ministers Decision No. 2015/8052 in the Official Gazette No. 29458 dated 27/08/2015. In the 2017-2018 academic year, it started its medical education with 30 students by signing a training protocol valid for 3 years with Necmettin Erbakan University Meram Faculty of Medicine. Educational activities have started at the Faculty as of the 2021-2022 academic year; It had its first graduates in the 2022-2023 academic year. On the other hand, faculty members provide health services at Aksaray University Training and Research Hospital affiliated with the Ministry of Health, in accordance with the protocol dated 25.08.2016 of Aksaray Governorship and Aksaray University Rectorate.

A total of 14 institutions provide health services in Aksaray province. There are 4 State Hospitals, 2 Private Hospitals, 2 Dialysis Centers, 1 Oral and Dental Health Center, 1 Training and Research Hospital, 1 Children's Hospital, 1 Gynecology and Obstetrics Hospital, 1 Medical Center in the city. The total number of beds is 1,114.
