Since the criteria of being close to the market, raw materials, human resources and energy resources should be taken into consideration while making investment decisions regarding Renewable Energy, it is compulsory to choose the regions where transportation and transportation needs can be easily met. In addition, when solar energy values are analyzed roughly, the region where solar energy investments will be made should have high sunshine duration and solar radiation values. Nevertheless, it is an extremely sensitive criterion that investment lands are located in large and plain areas, which are not agricultural and forestry, nor pastures, and having appropriate slopes.

In this scope, when the sun-shining values of Aksaray province are calculated, it has a significant potential with solar radiation value of approximately 1,620 kWh/m2 per year. While this value drops to 1,550 kWh/m2 in the north of the province, it rises to 1,700 kWh/m2 in the south east. June, July and May are the months when the maximum solar radiation values are reached, while these values decrease to a minimum in December and January.
